Challenge your opponents on the rarest Age of Empires II standard maps
Hosted by Beargwyn
Discord
Overview
The Forlorn Cup is an Age of Empires II tournament that features standard maps that rarely — if ever — make it to the ranked ladder. Participants will be placed in 16-player brackets which are subdivided into 4 groups of 4. The top 2 of each group advances to the knockout stage. Please read the rules carefully before signing up. If you have any questions, feel free to message one
of the admins or ask your question by tagging @admin in the q-and-a channel in the Bear Cave Discord.
Group numbers and sizes may be adjusted to prefer a smaller ELO gap between participants.

Rules of conduct
- Conduct: All participants, broadcasters & administrators are expected to show
good sportsmanship and be respectful of all other parties at all times.
Poor behavior including but not limited to insults, racism or sexism
will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification of this

If other profiles are found that were not disclosed, it will result in disqualification.
- Cheating: Cheating is not allowed in any form.
Any player caught cheating will be disqualified from the tournament and banned from future tournaments hosted by Beargwyn. The tournament Hosts and Admins reserve the right to investigate any suspected cheating and take any action they deem necessary to maintain the integrity of the tournament. Players are encouraged to report any suspected cheating to the tournament admins immediately.

- Patrol stacking of melee units is considered a bug abuse, except for ranged melee units (Kamayuks, Steppe Lancers, Axeman, Gbetos, Mamelukes)
- Outsider information: Receiving information from outsiders during a game, other than tournament administrators (if needed), is strictly forbidden. Receiving any information from third parties will result in disqualification.
- Communication: All participants are expected to communicate via the prescribed channels on Discord in a timely fashion - including using @ to tag your opponent in regards to important information and must regularly check all tournament related channels or direct messages from other participants for anything that may concern them. Players should contact their opponents at their earliest convenience and suggest specific times and days when they are available (not just asking “when can you play”).
Participants accept all rules and settings in this handbook by signing up for the tournament.
